One year after the release of Prince of Persia Sands of Time this bad boy was brought to the scene of third person sword fighting games. You might remember what I said about Sands of Time saying it was quite frankly gay. Well, Warrior Within is the opposite of that; totally bad ass and cool. If you are interested in what I have to say about this game than continue reading.

The Game play.

I guess the designers of the Prince of Persia series realized that Sands of Time was quite gay, so they released a new POP; Warrior Within. Warrior Within is aimed at a much more mature audience. In other words, theres gore; allot of gore, and some sexual scenes. The combat system is much more evolved, you can perform really bad ass combos, throw weapons, decapitate enemies, etc. You can still vault over enemies, except this time you can slice them up from various angles. While you are mutilating your enemies, you have got excellent metal soundtracks to go along with the fighting. Warrior Within focuses more on the violent sides of things, of course you can still climb walls and jump around. You do not have your Dagger when the game begins but you find it later.

The Story

The story starts from where Sands of Time left off, only several more years into the future. The world is back to normal but a hot chick attacks your ship and literally kicks you off it. You soon find out that somebody is attempting to create the Sands of Time again so you set out to stop them. The prince is constantly being tormented by a demon called the Dahaka. The reason the Dahaka is chasing you is because you are not following your timeline, you were supposed to die but you used the dagger to save yourself and change your timeline. Naturally, since the Dahaka is supposed to protect time, hes quite pissed and wants to eat you up. Of course you can not let him do that so you are constantly on the run. So, you have your quest to accomplish, enemies to tear apart, and the Dahaka to run from; as you can imagine the game is quite intense. In my opinion warrior within is one of the best third person sword fighting games, if you are looking for a good sword fighting game I highly recommend Warrior Within. I give the game a 8/10.
